Johannes Faber 
 
Nato a Monaco nel 1952, ha lavorato con la big band della radio di Stoccarda1(1980-90) e per con quella della radio di Amburgo(1990-98) come solista,compositore e arrangiatore.Faber ha composto la colonna sonore per il film "Rally Parigi-Dakar“
Ha diretto vari gruppi tra cui il piu famoso e il gruppo Consortium con Billy Cobham alla batteria, Christof Lauer sax,Joerg Reiter piano e Dave King basso elettrico.Il trombettista ha suonato con Chaka Khan, Anthony Jackson,George Adams ,Charlie Mariano, Dado Moroni,il UNITED JAZZ & ROCK ENSEMBLE,Peter Herbolzheimer’s RHYTHM COMBINATION AND BRASS e tanti altri.Ha collaborato con Michael Ende(autore della STORIA INFINITA e MOMO).Nel 1985 ha ricevuto il PREMIO-JAZZ di Baden-Württemberg.Suona nei grandi Festival di Jazz come Montreux,Jazzfest Berlin,Deutsches Jazzfestival Frankfurt etc...Nel1998 inizia a lavorare come attore per il STAATSTHEATER AM GÄRTNERPLATZ(Monaco di Baviera).Organizza una rassegna jazz nel stesso teatro dal 2000.Nello stesso anno inizia a lavorare come cantante lirico nei ruoli del ORATORE e SARASTRO nel FLAUTO MAGICO di Mozart..
2003 compone la musica per balletto tromba, percussione e grande orchestra "4“ che va esibita nel STAATSTHEATER AM GÄRTNERPLATZ (coreografia di Philip Taylor,direttore delBALLETT THEATER MÜNCHEN) Nel 2006 insegna la storia del jazz al conservatorio Nicolò Paganini a Genova.recentemente ha inciso un disco con il Fausto Ferraiuolo trio, edito da Abeat records ( artnam-mantra, Abeat abjz 087).


Johannes Faber was born in Munich in 1952 and studied trumpet and composititon in Munich, Graz and Boston.
He worked with the Radio Big Band Stuttgart (1980-90) and the Radio Big Band Hamburg (1990-96) as a trumpet soloist, composer and arranger.
Faber composed the soundtrack for the movie "Rally Paris-Dakar“ and founded the jazzrock-band CONSORTIUM with Billy Cobham dr, Christof Lauer sax, Joerg Reiter p, Dave King e-b.
He had a professorship at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Hamburg. The trumpeter played - amongst many others - with Chaka Khan, Anthony Jackson, George Adams, Charlie Mariano Dado Moroni, Konstantin Wecker, dem UNITED JAZZ & ROCK ENSEMBLE und Peter Herbolzheimer’s RHYTHM COMBINATION AND BRASS, composed for Michael Ende (author of the NEVERENDING STORY) and was given the Jazz Award Baden-Württemberg (1985) .
He played on several jazz festivals as in Montreux, at the Jazzfest Berlin, the Deutsches Jazzfestival Frankfurt and so forth.In 1998 he composed the music for the theatreplay HIAS in which he also played the main role in a production of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz(Munich). Since the year 2000 he organizes the jazzprogram "Jazz im Gärtnerplatz“ for the same theatre and sings and acts the Orator (Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz) and Sarastro (Operafestival Gut Immling) in THE MAGIC FLUTE by Mozart. 2003 he composes the piece "4“ for the BALLETTTHEATER MÜNCHEN under the direction of Philip Taylor also for the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. 2006 he teaches jazz history at the Conservatorio Nicolo Paganini in Genova(Italy). In the last time he plays on a new recording session, published by abeat records ( Italy) with fausto ferraiuolo trio ( artnam-mantra, Abeat abjz 087).
