Luca Genitucci 
 
Luca Venitucci è attivo dalla fine degli anni ’80 come musicista, cantante, improvvisatore
e compositore/arrangiatore. Componente e co-fondatore nel 1995 del gruppo Ossatura, ha
fatto parte per diversi anni dell’ensemble Zeitkratzer e degli Ardecore. Tra i musicisti e
compositori con i quali ha collaborato vi sono John Zorn, Alvin Curran, Butch Morris, John
Duncan, Keith Rowe, Merzbow/Masami Akita, Radu Malfatti, Peter Kowald, Otomo
Yoshihide, Axel Dorner, Jerome Noetinger, Cristoph K Roll. Ha realizzato musiche per
danza e teatro e progetti multidisciplinari con scrittori (Jonathan Coe, Lidia Riviello), attori
e registi (Federica Santoro) e danzatori (Alessandra Cristiani, Samantha Marenzi,
Maddalena Gana). Nel 2012 ha pubblicato il suo primo album solista, Interstizio
(Brigadisco Records), contenente brani strumentali per fisarmonica e voce.

Since the end of the ’80 Luca Venitucci has been working as a pianist, accordionist, improvisor and composer, and has
toured and recorded with many different projects as well as a soloist. His interests in different art forms led him to
collaborated repeatedly with dancers, directors, poets and mixed media artists, and to research on the interaction
between sound, visuals, performative action and words.
In 1995, with Fabrizio Spera, Elio Martusciello and Maurizio Martusciello he formed Ossatura, acknowledged as an
innovating project within the italian electroacoustic improvised music scene.
From 1997 to 2002 he was part of the Zeitkratzer ensemble (artist-in-residence 2000-2001 al Podewil di Berlino), for
whom in 2001, together with Ulrich Krieger he transcribed and orchestrated an ensemble version of Lou Reed’s Metal
Machine Music, later performed by the Zeitkratzer ensemble with the composer at Maerzmusik Contemporary Music
Festival in Berlin.
As an improvisor he has played and recorded with a wide range of musicians including Mike Cooper, Peter Kowald,
Otomo Yoshihide, Sachiko M, Dagmar Krause, Gianni Gebbia, Thomas Lehn, Axel Dorner, Tim Hodgkinson, John
Butcher, Jerome Noetinger, Cristoph K Roll, Ab Baars, Ig Heinemann, Mario Schiano, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Alessandro
Bosetti, Paolo Angeli, Annette Krebs, Michael Renkel, and with dancers such as Alessandra Cristiani, Maddalena Gana,
Iker Filomarino.
As an instrumentalist he took part to many projects by internationally acclaimed musicians, sound artists and composers
including John Zorn, Alvin Curran, Christian Marclay, Boris Kovac, Jon Rose, Butch Morris, Francisco Lopez, Carsten
Nicolai, Elliott Sharp, John Duncan, Manuel Gottsching, Keith Rowe, Merzbow/Masami Akita, Mario Bertoncini, Phill
Niblock, Radu Malfatti, Thierry Thaemelitz, Zbignew Karkosky, Lee Ranaldo.
In 2012 he released his first solo album, "Interstizio", featuring original compositions for accordion and voice.
