Musicista dallo straordinario elenco di collaborazioni prestigiose e di spessore è diplomato in Musica Jazz e in Chitarra Classica, docente di Chitarra Jazz del Conservatorio di Torino, Tessarollo è una figura di spicco nel panorama jazz nazionale e internazionale. Musicista eclettico sia per formazione che per cifra espressiva, i suoi interessi coprono un vasto panorama stilistico che si riflette in molteplici progetti e in un universo in apparenza senza confini in cui si muove con lirismo e con un senso sempre presente della frase jazzistica. Ha tenuto concerti in U.S.A., in Europa e nei più prestigiosi festival italiani. Recentemente si è esibito in tournée in quartetto con Mattia Cigalini, Paolino dalla Porta e Manhù Roche, con il suo nuovo Hammond Trio con Adam Nussbaum alla batteria e al Torino Jazz Festival 2014 con Diane Shuur e la Torino Jazz Orchestra e in sestetto con Emanuele Cisi, Giampaolo Casati, Dado Moroni, Furio Di Castri ed Enzo Zirilli.
I dischi all’attivo in qualità di leader e co-leader sono una trentina, tra cui “Hommage to Bill Evans e Jim Hall” in duo con Stefano Bollani; il più recente, secondo lavoro in duo con il chitarrista Roberto Taufic “Painting with strings”; "Soul Seasons" e "Kaleidoscope" con George Garzone; “Passage con Giammarco Johnson e Vincent; "Bemsha" con Fassi, Dalla Porta, Nussbaum; “Tribute to Hoagy Carmichael” con Rachel Gould.
Ha collaborato in progetti stabili con molti noti musicisti jazz di tutta la penisola e con numerosi artisti stranieri di fama internazionale tra cui Lee Konitz, Slide Hampton, Barry Harrys, Grant Stewart, Larry Schnider, Bob Gullotti, John Lockwood, Matt Wilson, Jim Snidero, Flavio Boltro, Paolo Fresu, Manhù Roche, Ron Vincent, Barry Harris, Franco Cerri e molti altri.
La casa editrice musicale Carish ha pubblicato alcune composizioni di Tessarollo nel libro Italian Jazz Real Book. Numerose anche le sue esperienze professionali (chitarrista della RAI-TV e ospite in trasmissioni televisive, chitarrista di Gloria Gaynor…), formative ( studi musicali in India e in Turchia incontri didattici con J Hall, M Goodrick ) e didattiche (collaborazioni stabili con la Berklee School di Boston , Clinics annuali a Malta e altro)


Musician with an extraordinary list of prestigious collaborations ,graduated in Jazz Music and Classical Guitar, Professor of Jazz Guitar at the Conservatory of Turin,Luigi Tessarollo is an established and prominent figure in the jazz scene . Eclectic musician both for training and for expressive figure, his interests cover a wide stylistic landscape that is reflected in numerous projects and in a seemingly boundless universe in which it moves lyrically and with an ever-present sense of jazz phrasing. He has given concerts in the U.S. New York, Boston , Europe in Europe (Festival International de Liege, Gouvy Festival, Comblain La Tour - Belgium, Grenoble Jazz Festival, Swiss National Radio, Italian RAI, Ajaccio Jazz, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Toulon ..and in the most prestigious Italian festivals Umbria Jazz, JVC Festival, Jazz & Image in Rome, Festival Internazionale di Cagliari, Verona Jazz Festival, EuroJazzFestival d'Ivrea, Jazz In'It Vignola, Clusone Jazz, Bordighera Jazz & Blues, Ancona The Street of Jazz, Jazz Festival Sant'Elpidio, Rivarolo Jazz Guitar Festival, Guitar Festival,Torino jazz Festival . He has worked on projects with many well-known jazz musicians stable throughout the peninsula and with numerous internationally acclaimed artists including Lee Konitz, Slide Hampton, George Garzone (with whom he worked for about ten years, performing as early as in 1993 to Regattabar in Boston as winners of the show Best of Boston Jazz Search), Stefano Bollani, Maurizio Giammarco, Flavio Boltro, Paolo Fresu, Franco Cerri, Adam Nussbaum, Manhua Roche, Matt Wilson, Dean Johnson, Jay Azzolina, Ron Vincent, Barry Harris, Franco Cerri, Enrico Rava, Larry Schnider, Bob Gullotti, Hal Stein, Douglas Yates, JL Rassinfosse, P. Vaiana, Bob Porcelli, Jim Snaidero, Sangoma Everett, Grant Stewart, Gabriel Espinoza and many others.
With the American singer Rachel Gould has performed regularly since 2001, two CDs released at the moment.
-The music publishing company Carish publics some Tessarollo compositions in the book "Italian Jazz Real Book", a collection of tunes from the most significant composers of jazz in Italy.
TEACHING
Luigi Tessarollo is also one of the most respected and prepared jazz teachers now in Italy. He is teaching jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Turin and also he has taught in many prestigious italian Conservatories (Milan, Como, Trento, Genoa, La Spezia...). Tessarollo has been working for Berklee School of Music from Boston at Umbria Jazz Clinics since 1998 .He also is invited annually to Malta for jazz Master Classes as well as in many parts of Italy.

STUDIES
His formative experiences are many: graduation from the Conservatory in Classical Guitar and Jazz Music, musical studies in India and Turkey professional experiences (guitarist for the RAI-TV (Italian National Television in the early eighties, guest in TV shows on national channels concerts with Gloria Gaynor, meetings with great jazz masters such as Jim Hall, John Scofield, Dave Holland John Abercrombie,Mick Goodrick,Kevin Eubanks
